Tjakudayi ─ How to Say I Love You

     This production is adopted an Taiwan indigenous novel, “How to Say I Love You, ” which depicts the suffering and distress of a separated Paiwan(a branch of Taiwan aboriginals) couple. The man never come home due to the shipwreck and doomed to settle down in a foreign land.

 

     Tai Body Theatre tends to trace the root of ethnic experiences by exploring the Taiwan indigenous literature writer’s the ethnic identity and the living experience in tribe, making an intercultural approach to different cultures. The production combines Taiwan aboriginal traditional dances and songs with contemporary body, bringing a dialogue between traditional culture and mainstream culture, trying to find a new aesthetic form of body and performance.
